Pick n Pay Sending Expired Food

Pick n Pay specialises in sending expired or short-dated foods to its customers, I have had two incidents with the most recent one being so infuriating. The whole point of ordering is convenience or that you cannot physically get to the store. I have placed hundreds of orders through this service and what is clear is that its a waste of time ordering any perishable items through this service.

Today's experience tops them all, 80% of the items orders were short dated. I called and was told I would receive two outcomes 1) They would replace and collect or they would 2)Issue a refund. I was fine with either option because I could order from other stores if they could not replace. Almost 3 hours later I was contacted by Pick n Pay asap and told that the store does not have "bread" that is not dated, I am surrounded by 4 other pick n pays less than a 5km radius and I had Pick n Pay telling me that it cannot send me bread, vegetables and fruit that is not dated?

My standpoint is why even send the items to begin with? Why did they accept the order when they could have declined it or placed the items as out of stock? This has been a massive inconvenience and more than anything I HAVE A HUGE problem with how the query was handled, the reluctance of the supervisor from taking my call

Employee of the Month Award goes to Nicole Downey, who was absolutely great in NOT dealing with the issue and refusing to speak to customer, but she is a keyboard warrior and only responds via email

Well done Pick 'n Pay, I see why Checkers 60 seconds is coming out tops.

Now if someone can just furnish me with the email for the head of customer experience so I can state my case and showcase how easy it is to lose a consumer.
