Pick n Pay Sanbel Rotten Meat and Bad Management
So, my colleague made a purchase at Pick n Pay Sanbel, in Bellville, Cape Town on Tuesday, 23 March 2021.
She purchased 4 packets of Pork Meat of R24,80, R41,00, R30,20 and R31,40, respectively.
Now to many a few packets of Pork worth R127,40 seems trivial but this after a purchase of R745,34 I would say it's something to write home about.
She arrived at home, packed out her groceries but to her dismay, the following day, her Pork Meat of R127,40 has gone off. It is busy rotting.
Now the back story is not as important as what unfolds after. She retraced her steps frantically trying to find her slip but couldn't find it. She then resorts to calling Pick n Pay Sanbel Store to ask if she can bring the rotting meat to their store to inform them. The Manager of the Store said it's all good. She takes it to the store only for the Manager, Winston, to tell her that she left the meat out on purpose, to rot. (NB! THE SEL BY DATE IS TODAY) He sent her to and fro for a till slip that she lost and AFTER with much brainstorming we downloaded the App presenting the purchase history to him from her Pick n Pay Smart Shopper App, he still refused to believe her and told her he is not interested and she has no ground to stand on.
Now Pick n Pay, because I don't believe in the saying "The Customer is always right" I do believe that THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS THE CUSTOMER.
I urge you to deal with your store manager that has treated this woman like she is in the wrong when all she did was state her case and I challenge you to not only reimburse her for this and to apologize to her because your store manager is not very competent to say the least.
