PICK N PAY *********** CUSTOMERS

On the 20th of November I purchased groceries at pick n pay hyper northgate that were advertised in store on special.

I paid and left the store. When I arrived at home I upacked the groceries and verified what I had bought on the till slip. I then realized that all the products that were advertised on special were charged at the full price and not at the discounted price.

I drove back to the store and spoke to the customer care person showed her the till slip and pointed out that I was charged full price for the discounted products. She was not helpful at all and I was kept waiting 15 minutes before they sorted out my issue and gave me a refund which amounted to R83.00. I can just imagine how many how many customers that don't check there till slips are being **********! Why are the till points not being updated on the pricing of the products on special? Just to prove to myself that this was not an isolated incident I went back to pick n pay hyper northgate on the 22 of November and purchased a box of crumbed breast fillets advertised on the fridge for R39.99 and was charged at the till R44.99!

My theory is pick n pay purposely do not update the till points knowing that a lot of customers trust that they are receiving there discounts when paying at the tillpoint. CHECK YOUR TILL SLIPS THESE BIG CORPORATIONS ARE *********** CUSTOMERS!!!
