PICK 'n PAY REFUSES CASH WITHDRAWAL FROM THEIR TILL POINTS.!

On Wednesday 4th March 2025 I stopped off at a Pick "n Pay to but milk. At the same time I wanted to draw cash from the till. At the front of the que for "less than 10 items" there was a manager directing customers to tills as the became available. I mentioned to this "manager" that I would like to draw cash and which cashier should I use. He retorted, "We are not a bank!!" I was astounded and shocked! I responded, "you are bull ****ting me" and "what is this now? Its a service offered by P'nP". He responded "it's late afternoon and the money has been collected from the tills"! Then he said the cashiers are even struggling for change!?? I said that I didn't want change and that has nothing to do with R1000.00 I said that is nonsense, there must be money in one of the tills. I would like to draw one thousand Rand. We argued a while, after which I said, if there was not R1000 in the till I would take less. At that time I noticed a customer paying over abour R700/R800 to a cashier. I pointed it out to the manager and said I would use that till, and if there wasn't R1000.00, I would take less. He instructed the cashier to only give me R400.00, even though there was loads more in the till. This happened to me at another P'nP in Elspark as well. When I complained to the manager there, his excuse was that there was no money! I again said that is impossible as the shop was very busy. This manager then said, "Yes, but the people pay with cards, not money". After a long standoff, he eventually directed me to a till point and I was paid R500.00

PICK 'n PAY NEES TO MAKE UP THEIR MIND WHAT THE RULES IS.!! If they don't want to do cash payouts, they need to BOLDLY display such notices at their entrances! I don't want a "private reply to my complaint. They need to respond so that all their customers are informed as to the poliicy.!!!
