Pick n pay refuse to do exchange. Tells us to go back to the pick n pay where the item was bought.

I bought nappies at pick n pay canal walk. I live in Atlantis. When my husband and I got home we checked the slip and saw that we paid R274 for pampers nappies that was in special for 187. We went to pick n pay atlantis to exchange the nappies or do a refund so that we can get the discount. They refused to help and said that they are a family store and that we have to go back to canal walk. We asked them so if we bought the nappies at pick n pay in Johannesburg we would have to go exchange the nappies in Johannesburg. Which does not make sense. They spoke about barcodes that are not the same, about the store being in a minus and about the promotion paper with the price on saying that you have to swipe the card to get the discount. That promotion tag did not say anything it just had the price on and we checked at the store again and told the employees . They made phone calls. We wanted to speak to the manager but the employee said the manager went home early and the supervisor did not even have the decency to come out. Just said they can't help us . On top of that I spoke to a customer service agent, one kerina, who also spoke in a screaming tone. Doesn't pick n pay train their people on how to speak to customers. That is not customer service. They were not even trying to be the least bit accommodating or sympathize with our situation. The promotion of the nappies is running at this pick n pay branch as well, exactly the same product, same smart shopper card but they refuse to help us. If we had bought a bread or anything faulty it means you have to 200 petrol to drive back to canal walk where they have a branch in atlantis. There is always a way and they can be reasonable. But for them as the customer service agent said its impossible to help in this situation and that she will lodge the complaint that I ask but that nothing will come of my complaint.
