Pick 'n Pay - Quality I certainly can't stand behind
When one buys LED bulbs, you pay the premium expecting, reasonably, to last at least a little longer than filament. I bought some bulbs just over a month ago, I cannot be 100% sure, but according to my credit card statement 17/03/2019, which was less than a month before I tried to return them. I run a whole-house inverter and have not had a single failure in the last 4 years (Ellies & Verbatim). Both of these failed on the same morning. When I tried to return them to Honey Junction PNP, I was told that I needed to provide a receipt and original packaging, attempting to quote consumer protection. It is a clearly marked PnP bulb, but not accepted at PnP. Most companies only require packaging if it is being resold, i.e. wrong item / credit, etc. This was faulty - clearly seen. I do not keep the habit of retaining R50 receipts or packaging for bulbs. Had it been 6 months, I would have probably just gone to buy another. If you cannot reasonably stand behind a product only you sell, then I cannot support your brand. It seems to me that PnP no-name is also no-quality. I have not had this with Woolworths - maybe I expected too much.

Thank you for getting to the bottom of this. I am led to believe that returns of this kind rarely happen and did create some confusion. Ultimately, everyone involved has made a good attempt to get to the bottom of this. My take-away on this, is that PnP clearly do value the products you brand, as is noted by one of your callers, quoting the Raymond Ackerman Promise. It is also clear that when shopping for PnP products, especially the no-name brands, that I am better off purchasing them at PnP owned stores, as opposed to the privately-owned PnP franchises that do not appear to understand the returns process (and possibly the customer care) that goes with a good, solid and trusted family brand.
Regards,
Anthony
