Pick N Pay Promamade disgusting and lazy staff

I am truly mortified by pick n pay in promamade cashiers. I only writing this review because I hope someone from pick n pay reach out to me for the detail of the cashier and I hope this person gets reprimanded because this is just disgusting.

This is not the first time this happen to me usually I just let it go but there was an elderly lady Infront of me and she went to get some of the items that was on pick n pay birthday special however when she got to the till she didn't have a physical savings card she had the number on the app and so did I. I no it a little more work when you only have the number because you need to get a manager and they type the card number in and I am usually using my number too from the app because I lost my card. Somethings they helpe sometimes they tell me there is noanager available and I let it slide.

But what happen with this elderly lady I'm disgusted because the caskier told her they can't use the number and type it in and this lady had to put some of her items down because she was not getting the discount and was paying normal price. Things are already so expensive and honestly pick n pay special was great saving 30 to 50 rand on a product Honestly my heart sank for this Wan so much because it was her sanitary products she had to put down soap and roll on things like that. While the lady was still there I asked why can't they use it like that and the cashier just ignored me until I got to the till because honestly I was not gna just let this slide. With prices so high I am also struggling everything is expensive and that elderly woman only had 150 rand you could see she only came in for the things that was on special and worked out her cost before hand and that was so heart breaking for me.

Any way when I got to the till I asked the cashier sence when do they not do that. When did corporate make this new policy and she stared and me and said she would need to get a manager to type the number in and then I told her then do so because I also don't have a savings card. She got one the manager assisted

Now usually I would just let it go but your staff is lazy and have no compassion and I find that discussing who ever read this and I hope someone from pick n pay does but imagine that being your grandmother or even mother she has her last and all because of a cashiers laziness can't even purchase her toiletries.

I still have my slip I'm keeping it hopping this could be addressed and rectified with all your workers they must stop lying because I'm sure if the tables was turned they would demand to use what they had.

I am so grateful I could find that elderly lady after in the mall I couldn't give her much because I too don't have but when I saw her aalgain I gave her my last R50 so she could get the things she needed.

We already live in a messed up country with all prices going up pick n pay care enough to give great specials whi h we all are greatful for but your staff can atleast show that same care. There is no point in your company doing something good and your staff not carrying that out.
