PIck 'n Pay own brand milk false labelling

I bought a sachet of own-label milk from Pick ‘n Pay yesterday. As the teller scanned the product she remarked that the sachet looked rather flat. The packer checked for a leak in the plastic bag, but there was none. Concerned by the comments, I decided to weigh the sachet, AND, 1 litre as marked on the packaging weighed in at 757ml. So today, Wednesday, I went back to Pick n Pay to check other sachets of the same product, just to make sure that this was not an exception. Weighed 6 sachets of the vegetable scales, all 6 were between 750 and 890ml. I did this in the presence of the store manager and he was shocked to see this. How many clients actually check the weight of the product to see if it matches that is stated on the packaging. I wouldn’t have had the teller not made a comment. Pick n Pay this is **********. Your clients trust you and you sell them 240ml short of 1l. For every 4 sachets you sell you make R 12,00 over and above the mark up you’re already placing on the milk products! Shame on you PicknPay, your customers can hardly afford to put food on the table, and all you care about is increasing profit margins by cheating! Why do you not have quality control in place? Again I have to take time out and drive to the store to replace the product. I went back to Pick 'n Pay Hout Bay yesterday, 2 days later. I weighed the same milk product, the 1 litre sachets weighed between 730 and 840ml. All 3 of the managers on duty had promised to remove the product from the shelves until the matter had been resolved. So for 4 days, under my watch, Pick n Pay has been ******** their clients. This was after I spoke to South African customer services, who sent me an email confirming that they were escalating the matter; 3 in-store managers and a FB post saying that the matter was being investigated.
