Pick 'n Pay Online Shopping is a failure-unable to honour purchases

My wife purchased a 40inch smart tv from their online store this week (Oct 2020), paid for TV as well as for delivery. My purchases was confirmed, payment was processed and we were waiting for delivery. Day before expected delivery, we are informed they have no stock and my purchase was cancelled and my payment is being refunded.

They did not have the decency to offer an alternative for their failure to honour my purchase before cancelling my order. Truly disappointing customer service from such a large established organization. Why advertise and process a purchase if you have no stock? That is false advertising.

My children were looking forward to their new TV which was a gift for them to enjoy over the upcoming festive season, only to be disappointed by Pick n Pay.
