Pick 'n Pay Online Orders

I ordered online for store collection at the Norwood store. When I got there, I had to wait for more than 35 minutes to get my order. That is equivalent to doing my own shopping from aisle to aisle. Bad service.

When my order finally got to me, the invoice did not match the amount that was debited from my account. I refused to sign the invoice and asked for clarity and I was told the person responsible for online orders is not at work. I asked them to cancel my order and refund my money, but still, the lady who has to process my refund is the same lady who is not at work. So are they relying on one person to service online orders? Bad service received from Pick 'n Pay online. Never again. All I want now is to get my refund and I cannot afford to wait for this one lady to come back from wherever she is.

Good day Charlotte ,

Thank you for choosing Pick n Pay and taking the time to write to us regarding your concerns Please accept our apologies for  any inconveniences caused to you. The call center has already escalated your refund request to our online team for further assistance. Your reference number is ***. We view this incident in a very serious light & we are busy addressing this with our online management team.

Please take note of the following when placing an online order:

1. Online payments are only processed on the day of delivery therefore the sms notification received from your bank is only to notify you that they are setting and  X amount aside for your online order.

2. The amount set aside is called a reservation amount and is slightly higher than your actual check out amount as extra funds are reserved to accommodate for any substitutes items that may be picked up in case of the the original selected item not be able at time of invoicing.

3. The excess amount is normally released back in to the account holders account within 48 hours as this amount is still in your account but being held by your bank. The account holder can request his/her bank to release these funds to them sooner. We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels.  Kind regards,
