I used my cash value on my smart shopper card to purchase airtime vouchers yesterday at the Norwood, Johannesburg, PicknPay Hyper. I had a total value of R26.00 that I had saved over the last few months specifically for this purchase. I requested the cashier Lekgala Mocila to supply me with 4 x R5.00 vouchers which would total R20.00, which she did. On returning to my home I checked my balance only to find that I had a zero balance. I am now wondering if PnP takes a commission when one buys airtime using their smart shopper card or was I just the victim of a ***** by the cashier. It might seem very petty that I'm querying the small amount of R6.00 but it takes me many months of shopping to build up my value on the card and I am very disappointed once again with the results.

I'm only placing this complaint on this website as a way of letting customers of this store know to be on the lookout for this behavior from the staff. I previously complained and was even contacted via email by the manager, Kobus, (surname unknown) for a previous complaint where he requested my contact details as he said he wanted to speak to me. I responded but almost a month later I have had no call from him so I'm probably wasting my time thinking that he will get back to me and that this complaint will also be ignored and that I will have lost my money. I hold the unused vouchers as well as the various till slips as proof of this complaint.

It's particularly sad that a group like PnP shows so little interest in complaints by their clients.
