Pick ‘n Pay Norwood expired food

I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding an incident involving expired snacks purchased at your store Pick ‘n Pay Hyper Norwood 24/11/24

Yesterday, I bought snacks from your store. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection after my daughter had already ate some of them , I noticed that the expiry date had long passed. This is extremely concerning, as expired food poses serious health risks, especially for children.

I take food safety very seriously and trust that Pick 'n Pay, as a reputable retailer, ensures the freshness and quality of all its products. , When l called the store they told me to come to the store with the receipt mind you l drove 4km to the store yesterday to do my monthly shopping .When I called the store to report the issue, I was told to come back with the receipt. I find this highly frustrating, considering I had already driven 4 km to the store yesterday for my monthly shopping. Now, I’m expected to make another trip, using my own fuel, for a mistake that was entirely the store's fault. This is truly unacceptable and incredibly inconvenient.
