Pick n Pay New Redruth... appalling price hike

I shop at Pick n Pay new Redruth weekly. I buy the same food stuffs weekly as I budget R750 for the shop per week. This week as usual I did my shop and bought less meat and no sugar but bought a 2 litre pick n pay brand oil and a shampoo so it was a balance out. I got to the till and the total came to R1550.. how ludicrous.. Pick n pay was open through lockdown and lost no income so how on earth can prices hike to such an extent.. oil alone went from R34-99 to R54-99 in one week and just seeing sugar price on special at R36-99 a week ago to on special this week at R39-99... I am appalled what they are doing to an already suffering consumer in this pandemic
