Pick n pay Moruleng mall

I brought a Aim glass kettle at pick n pay in Moruleng mall in 2019 and the kettle has a 2 year guarantee and the 2 year guarantee is still active. But now my kettle just stop working, when I try to return the kettle due to the 2 year guarantee the front end supervisor and the store manager said that the guarantee on the kettle is only in use for a year after a year they send the kettle for repairs. So I would like the know why would a company that makes this kettle write a 2 year guarantee on the box of the kettle and the staff of pick n pay feels that the guarantee is in use for only a year from the 2 years states on the box. Please I need to understand this thing with gaurantee because according to the manager the 2 year gaurantee is now a 1 year guarantee and a 1 year repair PERIOD.The company that makes this Aim glass kettle please try to help on this matter as well.
