Pick n Pay is not a good supermarket

After buying some rotten eggs from Pick n Pay, when i try to return them for an exchange - obviously with an empty punnet and my receipt (like i will transport rotten broken eggs in a tupperware after having broken them), there are no apologies, no 'i'm sorry sir, sorry for the inconvenience sir' . These eggs were 3 days inside of their expiry date when i bought them by the way. Instead i am eyed with suspicion and told the manager must be called to make an executive decision on whether I am trying to **** the store out of R17. But where is the manager? He/she could be anywhere. After waiting a while I lost patience and left with no refund.

Isn't it time we had some decent customer service in this country? Isn't it time the customer was right? Isn't it time one of our largest retailers started checking their shelves for upcoming expiry dates and WARNING the customer?? How about reducing the price of soon to expire items instead of hoping the customers don't notice and charging them full price. How about Pick n pay actually getting some decent organic and free-range products instead of chemical filled alternatives. The nations health is partly in your hands. How about starting to take food seriously since you sell so much of it, and stop just pedaling garbage to people who don't know any better. How about being a supermarket for the people instead of for $$$$$$$$$???
