Pick N Pay is horrible for online shopping

Good day, I just wanted to share my dissatisfaction with Pick N Pay online shopping. When they first introduced online shopping I was most excited because of the convenience of having your stuff delivered to your door especially when doing a lot of shopping but every month when I log on to do my shopping they always deliver the stuff and don't have many items available due to lack of stock. It is simple everyday items like bread and milk that they will not have stock of. Sometimes they will even deliver like the lunchbox that I ordered it was broken and also has a piece missing put of it. I log on the complaint for it and they never attended to it. I had to send the box box when they delivered again. So now I stopped with online shopping at Pick n Pay and decide to shop online with Woolworths and have discovered that a lot of items that I don't get at Pick n Pay Woolies always have them on special like the Toilet papers and milk etc. Last month they did not deliver 1/3rd of my order because they did not have stock of it but yet you are charged the delivery fee and have to go out again and shop. What a waste of time to do online shopping with Pick N Pay.- Durban.

Good day Vireshi,  Thank you for choosing Pick n Pay and taking the time to write to us.

Please take note that not all Pick n Pay stores do online shopping and the one’s that do also have walk-in customers. Stock available on line is as per the stores current shelf stock at the time that you are placing your order online and certain items might not be available as our online system is automatically updated when goods are run through the till point or invoiced for online shopping.  Goods for an order is only picked either the day before or on the day of delivery, therefore the stores stock availability may vary from the day that the order was placed.  Due to the nature of our business we have made an option available online for our customers to select a substitute item, should their original item selected is not available. This will ensure that you do get an appropriate product of your choice.

We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and appreciate your feedback to enable us to improve our services to you.
Kind regards
Pick n Pay Team

Thank you for your reply, but it does not explain how you can run out of common everyday items like milk bread peanut butter certain biscuits yet when you go to other very busy stores like Checkers for example they always have plenty of stock on their floor. I don't always like you substitutes. What about the fact that we pay for our delivery and still have to drive out and buy so may items that reordered online. It defeats the purpose of online shopping with Pick n Pay.
Last month they sent me a broken lunch box, few months before they sent me bad honey you could see the honey was not right through the see through bottles yet it was still sent to me. When you log on a complaint they call and say they going to sort out but never ever happens. You have to end up going back to the store and sorting it out yourself. Your service is pathetic for such a big establishment.
