Pick n Pay hypermarket Bloemfontein - Fly in meat packaging

We Visited Pick n Pay Hypermarket Bloemfontein on Sunday the 26th of January 2020. We were at the butchery department and I picked up a pack of meat(brisket). What is saw inside of the packaging was n fly sitting on the meat. I showed my husband and luckily I took pictures of this before going to the butchery manager. When I gave him the packaging, he shrugged his shoulders and said a quick sorry.

I asked him for the packaging back as i wanted to bring it under the attention of the General Manager. He refused to had it back. He stood there, tearing a hole in the packaging for the fly to get out (and remove the evidence). Turned around and walked away. I stated to him that by doing that wont stop me from going to the store manager as I already took pictures of the packaging.

We went to the info desk and asked for the manager (I do not remember his name) but he was the FOH manager on the day. I told him the whole story and showed him the pictures. He apologized and stated that this is unacceptable and this will be dealt with. He asked me for my name and number which a wrote down in his book. He stated that he will contact me. Till date I have not yet received any feedback from the store. I will have no other option as to go to social media with this as this is unacceptable, and I am of meaning that they only removed the packaging, repacked it and placed it back on the shelf.
