Pick n Pay Hillcrest Boulevard - Please fix your store
Please make a plan and fix this store.
Firstly, start stocking products based on your product turnover. You have a rewards programme that gives you access to exactly what people buy and when. It would be a very simple exercise to build a simple model. You know exactly when varsity starts - stock accordingly. I have been to the store twice this week : the first time, I was forced to buy tinned rather than fresh because all the shelves were empty. The second, I turned around and went to Woolworths. More stock = more sales = more profit. It would be for your benefit and the customer's.
Secondly, open the tills. It is not fun to stand in line for 15 minutes. You have a whole bunch of "help u work" people standing around (not sure why you're outsourcing - but this is a separate issue. Hopefully there'll be some protest against it, as there was at various other institutions).
Thirdly, I know it is on the customer to read expiry date labels, but what makes it ok for you to stock expired produce? Once again, use your data to stock accordingly.
I would be happy to sit with a manager and even help you build a logistics model. I have tried to use this store, as it is the most convenient for me, but if things don't change, I will be taking my business to one of your competitors.
It seems to me that you are losing revenue by operating your store in this manner, and will soon be losing even more as customers go elsewhere.
