Having avoided shopping at PnP for years I decided to give the brand a retry. On entering the store I noticed the fruit and veg was tired. I was after the Nescafe coffee special. The shelf was empty, I asked a staff member if there was any more stock available. I was told that the item was out of stock. I asked for a rain check. I was told that PnP no longer provides rain checks as per the head office. Minutes later during my shop the same assistant came forward with two bottles of Nescafe! Proceeding to the till point I asked for a smart shopper card. the cashier after searching her till point informed me that she could not find a card for me. I approached the store manager and asked how do I obtain a smart shopper card. I was told they were out of stock but had been ordered. I informed the manager that I would like to purchase the Nescafe on special and asked what he was going to do. To be informed by the manager that I should borrow a card from another shopper! I asked him to borrow the card. To be told not to be rude to him. Wow. He proceeded to find an old card from somewhere. I thanked him for the card purchased the Nescafe with other goods and returned the card and thanked the manager. Good luck Mr Summers or do we end up with PnP going to become the next OK Bazaars?
