Pick n pay greed and theft

Against my better judgement I went to Lakeside PnP. They have a sign clearly stating 50% off all Christmas lines. So I took some of the strips of marshmallow eggs (3 in a strip). I know these were ten rand so they should be marked down to five rand. But they rang up at eight rand. I queried with the cashier but she just shrugged her shoulders. I asked her if there is a manager I can ask and she just pointed to the front desk and said I must see if someone is there. So I went to the front desk and spoke to Natasha. She said they have to email a query to the office (presumably head office) as the prices are set by them. She doesn't know when the office will respond (most likely they won't bother). Why can PnP never stick to what they say? Their supposed sow friendly pork products are not sow friendly at all. They offer discounts they don't give. The staff at the Lakeside store should already have queried this. So imagine how many strips they sell at eight rand (all their stores) when it should be five rand? We get ********** all the time because nobody says anything. Their corporate greed is awful. They are dishonest.
