Pick 'n Pay goes Halaal

For a while I was confronted with the following issue in the area where I live. We have in a radius of 3 km five Pick 'n Pay stores. All of these stores are catering almost exclusively for the Moslem community.<br> <br> In the words of Mr. Gustave Moller (GM Business Development) for PnP the PnP locals are to cater for the locals in the community there they establish. Nowhere in Cape Town do we find a community where only Muslims live. Our society is integrated.<br> <br> At the PnP store in Kenilworth one gets the feeling that you are stepping back in time. Going back to apartheid where preference is given to a minority group. Looking at the displays in the store, all of it is geared for the Muslim community with one ***eon hole of a deli is provided for the Christian preferences where all the cold meats are dumped in it and if you are looking for cold meats, the attendant have to practical unpack the fridge to retrieve the meats you are looking for.<br> <br> The Store Manager Mr. Marawaan Isaacs, had the audacity to address me as non muslim and not a Christian.<br> We are not Muslims and non-muslims in Cape Town. <br> <br> Mr Ackerman and your company are practicing economic segregation.<br> <br> #halaalpnpsmustfall
