Pick 'n Pay goes Halaal
After my last post I received a response from Mr. Van Vuuren of Pnp. The interaction did not end well as all that came out was justification as to why Pnp needed to put a fifth halaal store in a radius of 3 km. according to Mr. Van Vuuren they conducted a survey and this survey indicted to them that it is ok to advantage to moslems to the other religions including Christians. Mr Van Vuuren and his management team feels that it is acceptable is the SA society to practice segregation is he confesses the his has built a pnp store a kilometer away from the mall to cater for Christians.

Moslems makes up 2% of the total population of SA and we have 5 pnp stores in a radius of 3 kms. do the maths.

in the words of a worker at the Kenilworth store to a client enquiring about pork: \This here all is halaal you can get some pork in the corner over there.\"

Maybe Mr. Van Vuuren and his team does not know the demographics of SA. We do not only have Moslems in Kenwyn, Wetton, Ottery, Lotus River and Grassy Park. If they were to spend more time at grassroot levels they would probable have a different opinion as to what their books tell them.

SA has moved away from apartheid pnp western cape No"
