Pick n Pay - FALSE ADVERTISING
Today I visited my local Pick n Pay. I purchased some items. I am never one to check my slip however today I decided just to browse through it and i was shocked to notice an item for R54.99, I know that it could only have been the Sunlight Auto, which I know was on special, so I go back into the store and the staff that assisted me stated that it is on special but he would check and let me know, he comes back with a price tag from the back and states that it is not on special. A supervisor I assumed had come with him and states that only the yellow package is on special and not the pink, so I questioned her that it does not state that on the advertised price it just states auto, she then insisted no it is not and they are still busy pricing items so I then told her thats not true as every other item in that aisle had a price, she did not have an answer. The manager then come to the aisle, he stands there and does absolutely nothing, said nothing and looks like a spectator. At no point did anyone admit it was an error or apologise to me. This is not how you treat a customer. I am a manager and I have over 40 staff under me and I deal with clients on a daily basis and I must say your customer service is pathetic. They were other patrons listening in to what was going on and they agreed that I was right as there were no specifics on the advert. My brother that is in retail and he also advised that if a customer of his saw an advert he would have honoured it. I was treated like an illiterate which was uncalled for. I should have been apologised to. It is the principal and that is why I am writing this complaint. The manager did nothing which is shocking. I can only imagine all your other patrons that does not know that they are paying more then they are supposed to for advertised items. This is shocking. So Pick n Pay how do you reply to my complaint, what are you going to do about this.
