Pick n Pay employee insults customer.

I had such a terrible experience at Pick n Pay Trade Route, Lenasia. Firstly it is the 25th of the month and we all know shops get busy during that time of the month. The line at pick n pay was extremely long as people were grocery shopping and therefore the express till could not be utilised seeing that the customers in line had more than 10 items. Only 3 tills were working whereas an estimated of about more than 7 tills were vacant with no cashier's to assist the customers. When we were finally getting assistance one of the 3 tills broke down as it apparently jammed. We presented our smart shopper number as we had no physical card with us; however the cashier told us she won't assist us with the number but needs the physical card. I knew nothing of this as several pick n pay's I have been to have never given me such a problem but only Trade Route pick n pay. We then asked why are they so short staffed on this particular busy day, they told us to ask the store manager, who goes by the name of Isaac. We patiently waited for Isaac to assist with our smart shopper authorisation and find a solution with the long line as many customers were getting frustrated including ourselves. A lady approached us who vividly appeared to be working at the bakery and claimed that she is the manager so what is our problem she asked rudely. We then asked her where is her name tag as we had no guarantee that she is the manager. She asked us if we wanted to be assisted or not, we told her we would like to be assisted by the store manager. She further went on to insult us. Eventually Isaac came to assist us after we had been insulted by a rude employee of Pick n Pay who claimed to be the manager, who goes by the name of Palesa Mokoena. Isaac did assist us with our smart shopper number and explained how things worked after, but did not resolve the long line but only the jammed till. I am utterly disappointed, disrespected and embarrassed at the rudeness I experienced from the cashier and the so-called rude manager Palesa Mokoena. I need this matter to be dealt with in the utmost importance. I will not allow to be dealt with in such a rude manner, insulted or disrespected more especially in the midst of other customers and when I am a paying customer myself. I am a resident of Lenasia and therefore use the pick n pay on a regular basis, as I am not willing to travel to other surrounding pick n pays just because of the ill-mannered employees I had encountered today. If this matter is not escalated I & my family will never set foot in this particular Pick n Pay unless this matter is escalated accordingly.
