Pick n Pay Became Pick and Pray
When "Pick n Pay" Became "Pick and Pray" - A Cake Catastrophe in Pick n Pay Lambton & Hazelpark
I had been daydreaming about a fresh, delectable Black Forest cake for what felt like an eternity. So, in a moment of weakness (and hunger), I decided to place my trust in Pick n Pay Lambton. Big mistake. Huge.
Imagine my excitement as I walked into the store, visions of chocolatey goodness dancing in my head. But what I got instead was a slice of pure disappointment. This cake was so stale, it might as well have come with an archaeology kit. The cream on top tasted better than the cake itself— and that’s saying something, because the cream wasn't even that good!
I thought maybe the rest of the store could redeem itself, but no. The only other thing that was remotely fresh was the cheese puff, and even that felt like it had been puffed out of sheer desperation. The cooked food section? Let’s just say it was a culinary graveyard. I'm still trying to figure out why they even bother with a bakery section when they seem to be baking up bad decisions.
If you ever find yourself in Pick n Pay Lambton, do yourself a favor: Pick wisely and pray hard. Because the only thing fresher than that cake will probably be the exit.
