Pick n pay ASAP is a joke - don't use it

Pnp asap with terrible service. I had placed an order online at 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon For basic groceries, bread milk, and a few vegetarian items to use in making school lunches. I was given a delivery time of 6pm to 6:30 pm which I was ok with. The app kept saying that I can expect my delivery, them the delivery time changed to 7pm to 7:30pm. Like the optimist I normally am, I waited. At 7:30pm, the delivery time changed to 7:30pm to 8pm, at which point I called the call center only to be told that the order is packed, and the store is closed and I will kpt receive my delivery. I am hugely disappointed and incredibly angry at the sheer waste of my time. It is an utter disgrace that pick n pay can offer a service, that does not work. Like a decent large scale corporate, they could have given me some indication that they could not deliver my purchase as indicated and allow me to make other plans. The call center agent also advised that they could not refund my cash immediately and it would take 1 to 2 working days to get the money back into my account. This iS another point of failure, where pick n pay took my money without concern that iT may be mh omlh cash until payday to get food foe my family.

I am utterly disgusted by this behavior and will ensure that anyone I speak to will know not to use this service as it does not work.
