Pick n Pay Acropolis has gotten worse

Once again Pick n Pay Acropolis Phoenix has shown complete disregard for pensioners and unhygienic practices. My mother a pensioner ordered groceries using their delivery service a month ago. That was a hellish experience which we thought had ended but we were wrong. Two of the items she purchased was 10kg Sasko flour and 10kg Aunt Caroline rice. After the traumatising experience from Claude and Rani she ordered more items from another supermarket. Pick n Pay you can learn a lot from Check Star on service and quality. Anyways, all items were stored together. Yesterday she opened the 10kg flour to use and while mixing noticed weevils and worms in the flour. Not a small amount. I told her keep it aside. It is inedible and unhygienic. We then checked all groceries. The groceries from other supermarkets were all fine but the flour and rice from Pick n Pay Acropolis Phoenix cannot be used. The flour has weevils and the rice has grains that are decaying due to moisture. I called the store and spoke to Logan. He assured me that he would deliver replacements right away. I was skeptical as he hadn't asked for my number or address. I asked him if he knew it and then he says oh ok give it to me. He said he will speak to Claude and don't worry. The items will be replaced. Just leave them outside. And he assured me they will call back. I called at 9am. I called back at 1:30 after we had nobody call us or deliver the items. When I called at 1:30 I asked for Logan, after waiting for almost 10 min I could hear someone speaking in the background saying tell her I'm busy. The lady I spoke to said he is busy and she said Claude would call me. At 4:30 I called back as nobody bothered. Nobody answered. We tried calling for an hour and nobody answered the phone. This store is managed by an *********** rude manager and the staff I've dealt with are just as rude and ***********. Once again a customer, a pensioner was ignored. The fresh produce that we had ordered in April arrived decayed and inedible. We are now left with a large amount of wasted groceries as it's also inedible. Frankly it seems that this store isn't very hygienic. Moisture and weevils are a problem in an unclean storage area. If a storage area is cleaned and managed then this wouldn't be an issue. The staff are arrogant, especially Claude and now Logan and are more interested in appearing like they own the store and not assisting customers. Pick n Pay Acropolis, this is unacceptable. And pick n Pay head office I blame you as well. You allow this to happen. The cost of those groceries is a big amount for a pensioner. Constantly having to call the store is also an expense. Dealing with arrogant staff who insult and have no respect and who rather fight instead of doing their job is emotionally draining. Instead of a relaxing evening I have to send a complaint because this store will rather not be hygienic and will rather be rude than helpful. You are *****ing the money of customers by selling unedible items. What if my mother got sick? How many other pensioners are yourll treating so cruelly while taking their money. Pick n Pay you are a disgrace because you allow this. I have seen stores in Phoenix fined for selling unhygienic and decaying items and for questionable business practices. After this I am sending an email to the National Consumer Commission. I will also be contacting the health dept and reporting this store. I was told that the owners of this store are Muslim. I will also be reporting this to Icsa. If groceries aren't stored properly and rotten and decaying produce is being sold then one can question if halaal conditions are being maintained. And no Claude, we have not forgotten the defamation and insults from you and Rani. You will be hearing from my attorney. And spare me your nonsense about looking into this Pick n Pay. This is allowed to happen because the head office does nothing. Don't give me your standard response. This is why arrogant Claude and his team treat customers this way. I will let regulatory bodies investigate and handle it. Phoenix is a mainly poor community. Shame on this store for treating people so badly and giving them rotten and decaying items.
