Pick n Pay = 0 Spar = 10/10!
The two Pick n Pay stores in Farrarmere and Oakfields in Benoni, have designated days when pensioners are given a discount on all goods purchased. Thank you for caring! Recently, I relocated to Linden in Johannesburg. The Pick n Pay stores here, used to provide pensioners with a 'pensioner card' which allowed for discounts on certain days. Upon requesting a 'pensioner's card', I was informed that Pick n Pay stores here (and in Northcliff) don't supply them to 'new' applicants, such as myself, although the existing cards are still valid for discounts. There are many older folk in Linden and Northcliff, and even a retirement village with 182 units in the vicinity. Really Pick n Pay ..... no new 'discount applicants'?? Who do you think you are? Certainly don't claim 'consumer friendly'!! Who thinks up such a 'we don't want your 'pensioner' business thank you' business model?? BY CONTRAST the Spar supermarkets here, give 5% pensioner's discount on all products EVERY DAY!! Now that's smart business! Thank you Spar for caring for pensioners in Linden and Northcliff (and nearby vicinity) - you are a community spirited and caring company. So, many, many pensioners now avoid Pick n Pay here - good for you!! No sympathy Pick n Pay for losing my and many other pensioners' business here, simply disgust at being ignored and apparently not worthy of being given assistance in our senior years as other Pick n Pay branches do elsewhere. Pick n Pay (Linden & Northcliff) = 0 Spar = 10/10!

NOTE: ALL your stores here in Linden, Randburg, Northcliff and adjacent areas are shunning new pensioners' discount applications.
Your fobbing -off, general sidestepping the issue reply, is a disgrace to Pick & Pay (of which I have been a contributor to your profits for nearly 4 decades).
