Pick and pay online (SUCKS) .... Charged more that was specified

Dear Pick and Pay,

I ordered goods online (order ***), which was on special.

I confirmed before hand PLEASE take the right amount off.

The bill should have been R199*x2 = R399

To today I got a message, insufficient funds (and the transaction failed 2 times on Pick and Pays side.)

I called my bank (R474.14 failed to be debitted).

The result :

1) Credit Card banking fees for a failed transaction (as I only had R405 in), enough for you to be taken 2) How is R399 now R475 ?????

Seriously .... my first and last time shopping online with pick and pay

You are working with people's MONEY here

The reply from pick and pay twitter :

"Hi, please be advised that after checking with our online team you will be charged the promotional price when your order is being picked."

Clearly someone was sleeping now ? (who will refund me in total (and pay for my banking fees please))

I dont want to do business with a firm that doesnt even cant get basics right !

Hi Jacques,

Thanks for your recent online order and taking the time to write to us regarding your concerns.

Kindly take note that your order has not yet been processed.

We aren’t charging you a day before delivery; we’re introducing a payment authorisation check that will run a day before delivery, to make sure you have sufficient funds to cover the cost of your order.

Depending on your bank, you may receive a notification telling you that funds have been reserved for your Pick n Pay Online purchase. However, your final invoice amount will only be debited against your card once we have picked the products for your order – usually, the day of delivery or the evening before.

Our new payment authorisation process has been introduced to improve your online shopping experience by letting you know, at an earlier stage, of any potential payment issues with the card details you’ve provided. This gives you the opportunity to update your details and select a new delivery date for your order so that you don’t forfeit your order.

To find out more please click on this link: https://www.pnp.co.za/pnpstorefront/pnp/en/faq

We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels. Kind Regards,The Pick n Pay Team

Dear Pick & Pay team,

At 12:01 I got a sms (Insufficient funds, someone wants to debit my account (Or lets say reserve funds)). R410 was available
At 12:07 I got another sms, after making sure I have at least R399 in my account. At this stage, R450 available

I called my bank, the murchange is www.pnponline and the amount is R474.14 (is under reserved -> Pending -> which means Pick and Pay processed it)

So, saying all of this, I am now going to pay credit card fees (as Pick and Pay confirmed with me, only R399 will be deducted)

What a royal @#$@#$#@ .... to get OIL on a special.

Are you going to refund me my credit card (failure) payments ?????

Another question, why was R474.14 taken and not R399 ?
