Pick and Pay online is overcharging customers

Pick and Pay online shopping is *****ing money from clients. On Friday an amount of R2049.64 went off my bank account for PickandPay online shipping. But when the delivery came the invoice amount was R1886.33. That included the delivery fee. So please explain the R163.31???

Good day Ian,

Thank you for choosing Pick n Pay & taking the time to write to us. Please accept our apologies for the delay in response and any inconveniences caused to you.

We unfortunately were not able to respond to your post due to technical difficulties. Please take note that all online payments are only requested on the day of invoicing and not when the order is checked out. The reservation amount for an online order would normally be higher to accommodate for substitutes if a customer has allowed for it on their order as substituted items may vary in price.

This amount is usually reversed back in to the customers account within 48 hours from the order being invoiced, if this does not happen the customer can request his/her bank to have the funds released to them. We appreciate your feedback and value you as a loyal Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels.
Kind Regards, Pick n Pay Team
