Pick and Pay Hyper Ottery.. Horrible service ever from manager Mr Verdy.

First time shopper by Pick and pay hyper in Ottery. Worst experience ever. So let me share my experience. I bought a hoverboard for my 8 year old son for R2k by this store about 4 days ago. Yesterday my son made me aware that the hoverboard feels funny and could be loose. I decided to to visit the store today as the product is still under warranty according to knowledge and of which the cashier confirmed the item will be under warranty for a year. Inl requested to speak to the manager Mr Verdy, not sure if the name is right. He came with much attitude and was of no help. Not once did he apologize and only made it a point that I should have read the manual that states that the product has limited warranty and pick and pay and it's staff have no obligation as to inform and educate the clients about the product. He basically said the store only sells the product whatever happens after is in the hands of the customer. His exact worda was "now I must throw this thing away".. I was shocked by this manager's reaction... Did he expect me to throw the thing away and loose R2k in 4 days time?... He refused to replace the product and refused to sell me another one. He did not want to take any responsibility.. He did not show any empathy and was cold. This man is very unprofessional and sarcastic.. He reprimanded one of his staff members that wasn't even involved when the sale took place. He obviously took his frustration out on the staff member. I do not want to visit this store ever again. He did not take ownership of this query until the end.he walked out on me.... This was a real shocking experience...
