Pick and pay cashier stole my husband's money

Yesterday my husband went to withdraw money that was sent to him via tymebank. The cashier at pick n pay south gate said they are offline. Today when he went back they told him the transaction went through. I don't understand how because they said it's off line and he didn't get the money.
