Pick and Pay and Pay and Pay for no service

Last week I went on line and ordered food from Pick n Pay to be delivered at 10am on Wednesday. When the food arrived at 4.30pm, (four and a half hours late) there was a whole bin missing - about one third of the food that I had ordered. I immediately spoke to the despatch who assured me that it would be delivered by 9am on Thursday. Needless to say it was not delivered. So, today (Friday) at 11.30 am I began chasing up the missing food. I held on for about 45 minutes at the customer service and then spoke to 3 different people who could not or would not help. Finally I spoke to the team leader (everyone else on management was not available - I take it that they were hard at work elsewhere) Finally I got put through to head office in Johannesburg having been assured that my case was being managed by one of the managers. So lo and behold, when I phoned, she was in a meeting and was not attending to my case. Finally I was given the number for the Cape Town head office where again everyone with any authority was not in the building. At this stage I had been on the phone for 2 and a half hours and my blood was boiling. At this stage, the food was already about 20 hours late. With the time spent ordering on line and trying to get my order fulfilled, it would have been quicker and more pleasant to go to one of the other supermarkets who at this stage, I have only had decent service from. What adds insult to injury was that a whole lot of food was "not supp****" or not available INCLUDING TOMATOES - come on now!!!!!!!!!!!
