PATHETIC SERVICE WITH PICK N PAY ASAP

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using the Pick n Pay ASAP app, particularly in East London.

Although I have eventually received my delivery, the underlying issue remains unresolved. I have experienced the same problem more than five times, where products show as “in stock” on the app, allowing me to select and pay for them, only for the store to indicate during picking that the items are suddenly out of stock.

This has caused significant inconvenience, including having to make purchases twice because I could not rely on the stock information provided by the app. I am now also expected to wait 3–5 days for refunds. While I understand the refund process, the issue is that Pick n Pay's system created the problem in the first place.

The ASAP service is supposed to provide convenience, but inaccurate inventory, poor store fulfilment and ineffective customer service are achieving the opposite.

There is also a clear difference between a want and a need. When customers use ASAP, they may be relying on the service for items they need urgently. The system therefore needs to provide accurate, preferably real-time, stock information.

I strongly recommend that Pick n Pay urgently review its inventory system, store fulfilment processes and customer service escalation procedures. Repeatedly refunding customers does not resolve the underlying problem.

At this stage, I cannot recommend the Pick n Pay ASAP app to anyone, especially customers in East London, based on my experience.

I expect this complaint to be escalated and properly addressed rather than closed with another generic response regarding my refund
