PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE EVEN WHEN YOU CALL OUT A CASHIER DOESN'T CARE
My horrible experience at your Port Elizabeth, Ring Road, The Atrium store ( ********** ) tonight 21/09/2017 was as follows:
I came out of work tired and ready to do my shopping before heading to the store where I did my groceries [I always do] - a cashier named Marion Adams was responsible for the till. The following occurred (in full view of her colleagues & other customers):
1) Firstly she didn’t even greet me (for which I don’t really give a duck's behind about). 2) My groceries totaled R926 after she finished ringing them up. 3) When she signaled I present my Amex Black Card into the card machine slot, the payment wouldn’t go through (this was strange as I’ve always used the same card at the same store with no problems) --- THIS WAS A FIRST !!!!!!!!! and i told her so & challenged her that she must have done something incorrect (implying she must own up!!!). 4) Then when I questioned if she actually knew what she was doing, she had the audacity to say to me “there’s a first time for everything” – referring to the fact that the payment hadn’t gone through, due to her incompetence. REALLY ???? 5) The whole time I had already called up an Uber cab which was waiting outside for me – you can imagine how horrible it is to experience this, while I still have to plead with the Uber driver to give me time because your own store needed to ring up my groceries AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (meaning someone had to unload the groceries before reloading them again into my trolley). 6) To make things worse, Marion didn’t even show remorse and cared less about apologizing to me profusely for a horrible experience she had caused me. 7) A cashier seated next to her had to then ring up my groceries again and I mentioned that when I have to pay there won’t be the same problem (indeed there wasn’t & her demeanor was welcoming and her body language showed sincere conciliation towards me. She was visibly perturbed at Marion despicable attitude. At this time the supervisor had joined the whole thing and they both kept reprimanding Marion to stop messing my groceries around. Still no remorse by Marion !!!!!!!!! and AGAIN caused another mess up until the reprimand. 8) When this whole nonsense was over, I stormed out of your store leaving behind my gym black bag with my Samsung tablet, Huawei router, and cell phone charger. 9) Further inconvenience was caused by leaving this bag behind; I now had to type this at an internet café very far from my place (another inconvience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). 10) I have been shopping at Pick n Pay for the last 6 years and never have I encountered this **** before. 11) When I asked for the Manager (one Cyril Uithaler) I was told he is away from the premises. But what is unbelievable was that Marion after all this, to her it all seemed normal the fact that I was yelling on top of my voice, to her it just seemed like she's on holiday. I was never ever annoyed by a retail staff like this before. Normally when staff sees a customer doesn't accept nonsense, the person will then show remorse. I don't even need her apology now, if you get hold of her please do tell her I don't need her apology!!!!!!!!!! infact Pick'nPay, you guys will call me and tell me feedback on this I NEED IT TOMORROW THE 22ND SEPTEMBER ( ********** ) . THIS IS FLIPPING UNACCEPTABLE, WE HAVE A COUNTRY THAT NEEDS TO UP ITS GAME (GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR) **** LIKE THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FROM EMPLOYEES (MYSELF INCLUDED AT MY OWN EMPLOYER). PEOPLE MUST OWN UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NX !!!!!!!!!!! PATHETIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
