Outdated magazines

I purchased a Weekly Gossip magazine together with my lunch essentials. the magazine was on the book stand and they were plenty. I realised when I got to the office that the magazine was a week old. when I went back to buy groceries on the same day I brought the magazine with, the gentleman in customer services told me it wasn't their fault that I didn't check the date. I didn't want a refund all I wanted to exchange the mag. i was really not impressed with his attitude.....they shouldn't b selling outdated mags let alone on full price.
