Online Shopping Overcharged - No Response from Support
<p>After waiting for almost a week for a response ********** I'm now posting the same email as sent to that address here (excluding text formatting and attachments mentioned in the original email). </p> <p> </p> <p>-------------------------------------------</p> <p> </p> <p>Sent: Thursday, June 8, 2017 6:00 PM<br />To: ********** <br />Subject: Regarding Online Order ********** </p> <p><br />I just got off the phone with your online customer help, and was instructed to email you with my query regarding Order ********** .<br /> <br />My problem is simple:</p> <p><br />On your website the No Name Chicken 4 Thighs & 4 Drumsticks are priced at R38.24 per item. <br />I purchased 25 of these items, on delivery the invoice showed as R56.01 per item, a total discrepancy of more than R400 (Total of R1440.29 instead of below R1000).</p> <p>On your website the PNP Pork Rib Shops – Avg Weight 500g are priced at R40.50 per item <br />I purchased 6 of these items, on delivery the invoice showed as R122.25 per item (only 5 delivered) <br />Thus the total amount of R611.27 instead of around R243.00 <br />This however seems to be a substitution of some sort which we’re fine with considering the per KG pricing, but still resulting in almost 3 times the price per item.<br /><br /></p> <p>That means my total amount was charged at R2791.36 instead of around R2200. That is a HUGE difference in pricing and drastically affects my budget for the rest of the month.<br /> <br />Attached please find, indicated by filename, screenshots of:<br />My original order. (pork.JPG)</p> <p>I trust this will suffice as enough information to show that there is a BIG problem with your online shopping system, and a big error with my invoice. I also hope that the fact that I spent all this time on this email (even though I’m VERY busy) is proof of the inconvenience you’ve caused.</p> <p> </p> <p>We’ve had many issues in the past, vowing to never buy from PnP again – so much for the vow. This was however the last straw.</p>

Problem is, 25 items were delivered invoiced at R56 each. 20 of those items when inspected individually were less than R50, the rest less than R51.
A 25% difference in total checkout amount and total invoice amount is COMPLETELY unacceptable.

This was obviously a stock response and you definitely didn't see or attend to my initial query on a pre-case basis, nor did you follow up on the actual email I sent to your support staff.

A final note to your "slightly more or less" comment:
Item on website and checkout:
R38.24 x 25 (the price that should be at least a slight indication of actual price)
Item invoiced: R56 x 25
ACTUAL item pricing upon inspection:
+- R50 x 25 (I was thus STILL overcharged regardless of website price)
