Online shopping -- no delivery for 3 days & counting ???
I was expecting a R10 000+ order to be delivered on the morning of March 11. It is now three days later and still no delivery. I've emailed P'nP a number of times and I haven't received a response. I've tried calling but give up after waiting over 35 mins. I have no information RE my order whatsoever, except that online it says that it is "IN PROGRESS" -- but it has said that for the past three days.
Some people shop online because they physically cannot get to the store. If you are going to be this late then you have to at least COMMUNICATE updates with your customers. I cannot believe the lack of organization here, especially when your customers need you most.
What is the point of online shopping if you never know when (or even IF) your order will be delivered?
Please advise immediately.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the lack in communication from our Online Team.
We have done a follow up with the relevant online store and have been advised that they are running late on orders due to the influx on orders during the lock down period.
Our call center is experiencing staff shortages & high call volumes, however they are trying their best to assist all customers the best they can.
Please bear with us during this time, our Online Team is working really hard to ensure that they get all orders out.
We appreciate your patience and understanding at this very difficult time.
Kind regards,
The Pick n Pay Team

Your response did not provide any help or guidance whatsoever. Can you still not even provide me a rough timeframe of when to expect my order? It is now 4 days late and counting.
This does not qualify as providing a service as you aren't helping your customers anymore -- you are letting people down and frustrating them [and oftentimes at the very last minute.] You are taking advantage of the very little options we have RE online shopping. You are not even bothering to update your customers RE their orders that will be delivered late?
We do not know how much we should buy when going to the store now because +R10 000 delivery could arrive within the next 5 minutes or maybe next week? It is impossible to plan around this. You have to acknowledge that this is not fair and not something that is beyond the realm of your control. You can at the very least provide updates.
I made this order over 3 weeks ago and it is already 4 days late. I know things are crazy at the moment but there is no excuse for this level of disruption. At the very least, you should be able to give me a date for delivery -- you don't need to give a time, just the date. Please, we are just trying to get organized here and this "you'll get it when you get it" attitude is not fair to your loyal, long-time customers.
There is no point to online shopping if we have absolutely no idea when the delivery will be made. You are actually only complicating things for your customers -- you are well aware that we are trying to plan ahead and avoid going to the store as much as possible.
Surely this isn't too much to ask?
