Online shopping a waste of my time

I am due to collect my order today the 30th and I receive an sms yesterday from my bank with a debit from PnP. To my surprise the amount is lower than the order confirmation. I call the Woodmead store this morning to enquire and I am told the 3kg Omo that I ordered at 7am on the 25th is not available. In fact Riaan the manager admits that the store ran out at 12 midday on Friday. It does not make any sense at all how your systems are not integrated to detect you do not have stock. This treatment is unacceptable because it happened the last time with my order ref: ********** 461. and now with ref: ********** 586

Good day Prudence

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

Kindly accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.

Payment for our Online orders are processed the day before or the day of the delivery once the items have been picked and scanned. If your order was due for collection today, the order would have been prepared from yesterday. The out of stock items are detected when the order is being processed.

Kind Regards

Senabelo,

The irony is that Omo 3kg is now available online a week after your response and seemingly on sale for R60. That is R15 more than what I would have paid. Why was I not given the opportunity to wait for stock? Where is the justice in this?
