Online Shopping
I placed an order on Black Friday ( ********** 452 ). I ordered 2 coffees and received only 1. I did call the Call Centre (ref: ********** 887) and sent through proof of an uncleared debit for the full amount (R417.93) on my account. The staff at the Call centre are useless, I have still not recieved a response. I have also been debited(cleared) for an amount of R287.93.
When I ordered online there was stock available. I did not choose the store so should in no way be held liable for that specific store not having stock. Furthermore, what is the point of online shopping if you are not going to deliver what was ordered. There are a number of stores in the area, was any effort made to find a store with stock or do you just choose the store with the lowest delivery cost and to hell with what was actually ordered.
The guide price that the call centre refers to as per your website related to variable priced goods and substitutions. I was not informed that stock was unavailable when I ordered. The full amount of R417.93 was reserved on my accont the day before delivery. I did not select the store that was to deliver. Therefore I am expecting the additonal 2 bottles of coffee to be delivered and for the correct amount to be debited from my account.
You are completely defeating the point of online shopping if you just deliver whatever you feel like regardless of what was ordered. Your call centre staff need to understand what customer service is and to listen to the customer before reading their script.
Good day Nivashni,
Thank you for taking the time to write to us.
Due to the fact that we carefully choose your goods in store, we may occasionally run out of stock before we can update our stock availability on the Websites.
We endeavor to keep this to a minimum, but provide the facility for you to select different 'substitution' options in the event that we are unable to fulfill your original request.
Release of reserved Amount :
It will be released according to your bank’s particular time frame rules – e.g., some banks may release funds a few days after PnP sends them the cancellation instruction. We will instruct your bank immediately after picking and invoicing is complete. If your reserve amount is held by your bank for an extended period of time, we ask that you contact your bank and request a release.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Kind Regards
AnwarMooideen
