Nothing fun about devious Pick 'n Pay

In-store banners proudly proclaimed Pick 'n Pay's Ratanga Junction Fun Day promotion - for one day only: 14 March 2015 - just R50! Responding to the promotional flyer I'd brought home, my partner purchased two tickets on 13 March 2015.

Nowhere did it say that the promotion ended BEFORE 14 March. Moreover, what possible justifiable administrative reason can there be for ending a promotion PRIOR to the day of the promotion itself, other than deliberately catching consumers out?

Pick 'n Pay misrepresented their position - conning an extra R72 out of us - and charging us for the R86 half-price ticket and NOT the advertised R50 promotion rate for the 14 March Fun Day we duly attended.

A shameless and transparent ploy to generate extra revenue from people who would otherwise never have attended.

A 30 March call to Customer Care was met with disinterested stonewalling by an operator so clueless she had to phone Head Office!

Well, I hope the R72 is worth the bad faith it's generated and our abiding distrust of any future promotions.

Ordinarily I'd contact them directly and privately but this deserves a public airing. Shame on you Pick n Pay. I'm disgusted by your devious dishonesty.
