Non existent service from what is supposed to be one of SA's leading retailers
I am not one to normally take to writing reviews such as this, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
In recent years it seems that the quality of Pick 'n Pay's clothing line has declined significantly, while the pricing for this line has increased exponentially. While this is the first review I have given regarding this matter, this is not the first time such an incident has occurred post purchase of clothing goods from their outlets.
I bought a R400 knitted hoody for the 2021 winter season from one of their clothing stores. It took all of 2 or 3 days for the pocket at the front of said hoody's stitching to come undone. I contacted PnP via their Facebook page in a bid to get the matter resolved on the 16th of June 2021, with promises of getting the matter resolved once it has been passed on to management. Almost a month later I am still waiting to hear back from these people, with ZERO responses having been received as of today, 12 July 2021.
Any other business would have had to close their doors a long time ago for offering such sub-standard products at such exorbitant prices, and the fact that PnP seems to not have a care in the world about complaints or their resolution speaks volumes.
My family and I will not be spending our hard earned money at this place again, I assure you of that. With everything that is going on in the world right now it is extremely disappointing to receive this kind of service from what used to once be one of the top retailers in SA.
I'm not sure what is going on at PnP, but if this kind of nonsense isn't sorted out they will suffer the consequences in the long run.
