No words can describe how I feel.

I have been shopping at PnP, my whole life and have spent thousands of rands at various stores over the years. Lately, however, I have found that the local store in Dooringkloof, sadly does not provide the service I got used to.

I have visited this over the past 4 weeks, looking for a specific item, I used to purchase from them, but they did not have any in stock. I even discussed the matter with one of the managers at the store, who claimed that the supplier cannot provide them, because they are out of stock.

I called the store this morning, to find out if they have received the item yet. The woman who answered my call, said that she first has to go and check. and she promised to call me back. That was more than half an hour ago and I am still waiting.

Since PnP does not have the item in stock, I took a chance and went to a the Checkers store at Jean Crossing and guess what. They had 10 bottles of the applicable item on the shelf that was manufactured during February of this year. Needless to say, I purchased all 10 of them.

Was the manager at PnP Dooringkloof lying to me, or doesn't he (and/or his collegues) ensure that stocks are replenished, before the store runs out? Should I look out for a new grocery store?
