No management, no service

I wanted to buy some wine at the Liquor Store at the Pick 'n Pay Hypermarket at Norwood. When the items were rung up they showed a price per bottle of R39.99 rather than the R30.00 displayed on the shelf. When I pointed this out to the cashier, she called the security guard who confirmed the displayed price was R30. Then a supervisor was required which was where it all came tumbling down. The security guard called by radio for a supervisor from the main store, and we waited. And we waited. Despite numerous radio calls no supervisor was forthcoming. Another customer wanted to pay for his goods but was told he had to wait as the cashier could not void the transaction. He eventually gave up in disgust, and a while later, so did I. So, Pick 'n Pay, you would rather lose sales than honor your displayed prices. You make noises about customer service but fail to deliver, and of course, absolutely no apology from your cashier to either of your disgruntled customers, in future, Checkers here I come.
