No Customer Service

I am going to start this post with a definition for Customer Service - 'Customer service is the act of supporting and advocating for customers in their discovery, use, optimization, and troubleshooting of a product or service. It's also the processes that support the teams making good customer service happen. The goal of customer service is to foster lasting customer relationships.' I phoned your Customer Care this morning enquiring about a product advertised in your 'Home for the Holidays' catalogue. I wanted to know which store in my area had the product available as it didn't appear to be available in your online store. Only to be told by your Customer Service agent that he cannot access that information but that he can connect me to the local Pick n Pay store so that I can find out if they have stock! Pick n Pay has at least 10 stores in the area of Somerset West, Strand and Gordons Bay and I am told I need to phone each store to see if they have the product available. I thought that's what customer service is about ... Pick n Pay you should be ashamed of this sort of lack of service
