no customer service

My parents did most of their shopping at Pick’n Pay and so have I for the last 30 years. The last 2 years I have been shopping at the Pick’n Pay in Southdowns Shopping Centre at least once a week and there has been many incidences of bad service which I just overlooked but on Friday I took a decision that I will never shop at Pick’n Pay again. I was looking for a product and could not find it. I saw a shop assistant nearby and asked her for assistance. I had to repeat myself twice before she understood my question. She then answered my question by saying “how are you?”. I answered “ok” and repeated my question. She did not appreciate that I did not ask her how she was so she kept answering me with “how are you?” every time that I repeated my question. Eventually she got angry and pointed me in completely the wrong direction. When I realized that and walked back past her I looked what her name was and told her that I was going to report her. She said that it was fine for me to report her and when I had walked past her a few meters she shouted at me what her surname was and smiled. I lost my temper and lashed out at her how bad the service was to which she proceeded to try and provoke me further so that she could record me on her phone saying something that she could use against me. Fortunately I was in a hurry so I didn’t have time to confront her further and left the item before proceeding to pay for what I had in the basket. This incident and many others before has made me realize how little Pick’n Pay care about their customers. I will spend the R3000-R4000 per month for my groceries at other supermarkets from now on.
