NICOLE- PICK N PAY COFFEE CLUB TYGERVALLEY
4 STARS FOR NICOLE at the Coffee Club in Pick n Pay Nicole i believe as you, there is always room for Improvement. Which is why I never give full stars. However you are a GREAT BEAUTIFUL WARN ASSET FOR ANY CONCERN!
NO STARS TO Pick n Pay neither to Mhawu Msipha (Coffee Club Manager) of Pick n Pay.
A sad story at the coffee club, as much as Not.
This outlet Coffee Club was operated by a young man called Jason. Sadly killed a few months ago. One of those accidents, .....wrong place at the wrong time. Innocently a killed victim by gun shot.
The other assistance, a lovely young lady by the name of Nicole. A few months ago after Jason over heard a conversation where one morning my daughter, was looking for a quick easy great coffee stop. Kind of get and go, with amazing coffee. , Jason overheard and challenged the couple to visit hes outlet. What a great stop for a quick bite and coffee. Many so called Baristas close-by expensive coffee shops could learn from them.
Sadly Jason is no longer with us. Nicole had to adapt, they were very close friends with a great bond, the kind that last forever.
Over the few months that I pop in and stop over, a quick, one of the best true Italian blends. I would have a quick few moments to wind down and read or early morning refresh to continue. What often caught my attention, the embrace, many a people especially older, enjoyed to experience at this particular easy access stop. This was like an outing to many a pensioners, people in wheel chairs etc. People would stop here just to exchange a few words and laughter with Jason, which is what I mostly experienced, until I arrived one morning to find hes picture up at the coffee club, a candle burning and a book for people to write in and leave messages.
I hope this book was gifted to the mother of Jason -
Since then I have had more opportunity with Nicole. Always as Jason, warm, talkative, friendly. Great service. Always a smile. Now how to read her clients, acknowledge them bond and exchange. Jason and Nicole was the honey in many a peoples day.
Everyone had to adapt and grow in acceptance of the shock. For many, Jasons departure, a shock and a sad one. I saw much of this expressed on the morning of this breaking sad news. The love that so many had for Jason
What gets my attention after this situation, the sadness in people coming there. When the assistant on duty, a new one. With absolute no connection to the clients. No engage, no greeting, no presence to the client. Some simply leave.
Yes everybody needs to adapt, still whenever Nicole is on duty, who was utterly close to Jason. She was pulled hard by the sad unfortunate, to say the least. Still, she would smile and talk to motivate the clients, suppressing her own sadness. I have so much respect for her to able herself to such a level and stature from such a very unfortunate situation.
SAD , very sad to experience the new cold assistant, People do not get what they were used to. This new one does not even smile, does not even pretend to be a presence. Does not acknowledge her clients, No warmth. No little conversations. Like a Pick a Pay cashier, you are served when she gets to you, while having conversations with her tjommies.
No one expect her to be the diseased. No one can take hes place. The fact that the corner is not yet cornered off to a bit of privacy and ambiance, leaves it still cold and un-attended. However with Nicole and Jason, it was like it was never Important, Their personalities and care, created the atmosphere. Which made up for what was not in place yet. Now I do not think the Colosseum quoteure curtains could add enough warmth when NICOLE IS NOT ON DUTY!
Of course I had taken this up with the Manager of the Coffee Club, who gave me a lovely story of understanding, timeline for improvement, all the frills and folds.
My experiences at the Coffee Club, in Nicole's absence, un-pleasant of note. I reported this back to the Manager. As the email stated, we need to give the new lady time to adjust as she has a lot to deal with.
This is shocking, for the simple reasons..... The new lady is perfectly pleasant when her friends are walking by, to entertain them with conversations. To entertain certain employees to come around the counter to come drink water and chat. Getting rid of a client soonest to get back to her cell phone watching You tube and Tik Tok. Conversations to her tjommies at the cashiers outlets across the way. While she serves clients she does not acknowledge, engage with, she would rather over speak in conversations with those in passing. Stuff the client in-front of her.
The manager claims, 1st time, he will address the issue. I am not the only one that bring this to his attention. How thankful they are for ones time etc.... 2nd time.... oh he spoken to her, she needs time for things she is going through.
Surprisingly Nicole who took the situation very hard, does not need time? Can still be compassionate to the clients who stop for their coffee moments.
You never know what the client may had been through or recovering from, this is not considered!!! Shocking! I guess as long as the coffee sells. the rest is not important.
Sadly so for Nicole and the clients.
The New Missy can close early, not that it is the hours. {By time there is a permanent Coffee Pub hours displayed} Does the client a huge favor to still make one coffee - closing a hour earlier! One has to beg for coffee, because the new kid on the block have her own hours and not within the frame of the business operation Can not pay there, she cashed up already! Just as you want to take a sip of coffee as your nibble ordered is still not passed to you. You are called at from the cashiers Que to come and pay as she needs to leave. (THE ODASITY) I had to state, if you do not mind, it is not my to do that you close over an hour earlier. I will come and pay when I am done. No apology- just attitude.
As many other clients, we find it unacceptable and un-pleasant . I trust Nicole will be well taken care of- Pick n Pay should be proud to have one promoting them with such a lovely personality. However, like many of us. When Nicole is not a presence, we go somewhere else for coffee, which i also mentioned to the manager. I am one of a few.
Always looking forward to a next moment should Nicole be on duty! Thank you
