Mouldy food and bad customer service

PicknPay I returned the mouldy Swiss roll I bought at pick n pay dobsonville ext3. I asked for the manager when I got there. The security guard inspects the roll. He tells me to wait by the entrance. Comes back and asks me to take another. I declined cause I don't want my children or any of us getting sick, he says no I didn't check it; it expires today vele. So I guess I'm the dodo for buying it cause sell by date is today and I bought it for consumption TODAY. I opted to take sealed biscuits, whose cost isn't equivalent to my initial purchase (R1. 50 extra). We get to the till and wait for the manager Gloria. She approaches doesn't greet me nor acknowledge me, instead she asks the security guard if I will be paying the excess, he asks me. She did not look at me or say anything no one apologised, she only spoke directly to me as I was leaving only to ask for my name and number, handing me the pen to write it down myself. I really don't think if this pick n pay was in a suburb I would have been treated this way or perhaps my going to my local pick n pay in flip flops made her/them think I'm a "lesser" customer. Nevermind that I used my money to get to and from their store twice, that the product they sold me and who knows how many others; is frot they treated me like I had no business returning the mouldy Swiss roll which I bought in good faith for my kids.
