Michael Mokopane your Pick & Pay Sucks!

I have retail experience and what I see at Pick 'n Pay North Cape Mall is a circus!

1. No hand baskets and sometimes also no trollies. 2. Little to no customer service in all departments. One or two rare exceptional staff the rest are all expendable. 3. ABSOLUTELY NO MERCHANDISING SKILLS! The vegetable department has seen some attempts but it's lacking and the rest of the store is even more dismal.

Let's take a look at some of your Google Reviews.

Greg Howse said: “What an unpleasant shopping experience, the stuff is placed so randomly, where are your black bags? With the soup maybe? No staff assistance either. Won't be back” My comment is that this is totally true. Nothing stays at the same place and related items are all over the place. Create a layout according to Pick & Pay merchandising standards and stick to it. It's seems to be a free for all no wonder there is tons of stock in the warehouse that it battling to get to the shelves. Set a time limit on how long stock is allowed unpacked on the floor. Merchandising is critical for a profitable store.

Obakeng “Obie” Matsitse gave 1 star and didn't even want to say why because no words are needed to tell you how **** your store is in its current state.

Tyla James said: “No trolleys, had to walk around the mall to find one. The store is also terribly organised. It's just people who all are lost and struggling to find anything. Disaster” Again another person noted the merchandising issue. That not only causes frustrated customers but also creates a very negative shopping experience. This is borderline ******** to traumatize your customers like this.

Hanlie Reichert said: “I've been shopping the past 13 years at Pick a Pay, North Cape Mall. The past year it happens that stock levels aren't managed according it used to be..... It happens more often that products that was usually stocked aren't on the shelf. Then I need to drive to Spar as well to get what I need. Today I needed orley whip - nothing, no stock..... Previously it was tomatoes, the other day lettuce, Lay's Balsamic vinegar, so I can carry on.. Please ensure that the person responsible for the stock levels manage it properly!” Stock level issues or merchandising issues that the stock doesn't get to the shelves in a timely manner or is place on a different place where people can't find it?

Lande Botha said: “Very frustrating, great specials but never stock of full range on offer especially on combo deals. Especially fruit and vegetanle combos.” Again is it that there was no stock or it wasn't on the shelves? Again points to the lack of merchandising policies.

Tony Da Camara said: “Service is SHOCKING. Hire new staff if you cannot train them properly.” If your staff operated on customer service above all it will solve all of the problems. Principles of Batho Pele is non existent in your store. However your store should embrace Bareki Pele (Customers First) and do their job according to those principles.

Genevieve Wessels said: “Some isle were hard to negotiate with my husband in his wheelchair. I bought a Pinewear kettle and it was faulty” Bareki Pele, merchandisers should think about the customer first when packing shelves. Get stock unpacked quickly and remove obstructions.

Willem Barnes said: “Prices on the shelves not correct. R40 more at the till. I ask for a manager but she never comes to address the problem. Bad service”

Peter Templeton said: “Horrific.... The long queue I stood in had a fault with the till and it took forever to do the separate transactions. Pick n Pay at zKimberley has a lot to learn about customer service.” Bareki Pele or Moreki Pele

Tanya Venter said: “Either this is a surplus store or the staff are ***********, because alot of their products are damaged” shows more of that don't care attitude.

Sherike van der Merwe: “Slowest service in the Northern Cape. Will never support this branch again.” I don't even know what to say about this.

Botlhale Motlhaoleng said: “Unprofessionalism and personal issues is what we have to deal with from your cashiers! Implement zero star ratings.” Staff problems become customer problems. Moreki Pele

Mickey Dangerez said: “I am tired of bad customer service in Kimberley.” Again more lack of customer service. A standard of retail shopping experience.

Christo Buys said: “No express checkout, waiting in queue to buy a coke.” No sure what the problems are but the express till must sometimes bare the brunt and they are also used sometimes for more items when it gets busy and this puts a burden on them. There are many closed tills. Perfect opportunity for more casuals.

People go in smiling and come out crying. Customers deserve to smile from ear to ear when they come out of your store. Each and everyone of them must feel like kings whether they bought a full trolley or packet of Niknaks.

I know you can't please everyone all the time, but even just delivering the good old standard customer service will go a long way to put smiles on every customer's face.

It should not feel like a punishment to visit the store. It shouldn't feel like you're going into a warzone with the vrot vegetables just laying there in empty plastic crates. Into a nightmare where the stock is randomly placed every other day.
