Merry Xmas gift cards in February

Firstly I was told by the teller to go and fetch a gift card from a stand quite a walk from the till, while there were at least 20 people waiting in the queue and she had a packer who could have gone to fetch the cards. They refused and waited until I had fetched the cards myself. I then saw that all the gift cards still read Merry Xmas and happy Festive Season. The teller told me that those were the only ones available. I was in a hurry so spent R1000 x3 on gift cards which read Merry Xmas. I spoke to the manager on duty who apologised but said there was nothing he could do as these are the only gift cards available. Really ? Merry Xmas on the last day of February. That is the level of interest PnP takes in what it offers for sale to customers. ?
